Knowledge is the first step to a successful weight loss

Knowledge is the first step to a successful weight loss journey. The more you know, the more likely you are to do the right thing.

Somebody smart said that knowledge is power. By arming yourself with the facts about healthy weight loss, you are more likely to build confidence in your abilities and achieve your weight loss goals.

I agree, but want to add that knowledge by itself is not power. It is the application of knowledge that yields sustained success. Knowledge is very important, but action is the key.

Losing weight isn’t rocket science. Once you understand your body, it’s simple.

Simply put, you must change your nutrition - permanently.

  1. Knowledge will help you develop smart eating habits that become second nature.

  2. Action without knowledge can end up being very frustrating. After trying to lose weight for many years, I had to learn that carbs make me fat (fat doesn't necessarily make me fat!) and protein is my friend. I also had to learn how to exercise. Walking for 40 minutes 3 times a week helps my cardiovascular system, but walking mingled with some fast jogging for 30 minutes 5 times a week whittled away my belly fat!

  3. I like your perspective on knowledge quite a bit. With the right knowledge, there is no limitation on just how far you can go. I think it is our responsibility to find the correct knowledge and information to improve our life and our health. Meet your nutritional needs and find out what exercises your body responds best.

As you said yourself, knowledge is power.

  4. I also wanted to add a rather cool saying that I've heard quite a lot. A journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. For you finding out the right information and thusly cultivating a understanding of your health could be this first step.

  5. Knowledge should be first about understanding your own body as each one is made different, Next should the right choice of food which should become your permanent intake. Two of them will make perfect decision and combination.

  6. Idiots are not the worse people in the world but ignorants are. We always ignore our body and mindset without making any efforts to learn how to take care of them. It is sad because while the others struggle to live a healthy life, we just threw it away by eating too much and living a lazy life.

  9. Knowledge is imperative to any endeavor so why should this be any different in the case for weight loss? Too many people blindly throw themselves into this game head first without doing any research or laying any sort of foundation. It is this approach that results in yo-yo dieting and relapses. Weight loss is not a matter of dieting. It is a matter of informing yourself and adopting a healthy lifestyle. Finding something that works for you and sticking to it.
