I drink hot tea several times a day. No sugar, no milk, just plain, hot tea. Hot tea is very beneficial for losing
weight. It can give you a real boost.
Some hot teas actually reduce sugar and fat absorption while speeding up the digestive process.
Each time you sip hot tea, you get a huge infusion of powerful compounds called antioxidants which are believed to fight off heart attacks and cancer.
Drinking iced tea is not the same.
A cup of hot tea contains more of antioxidants than iced tea. Chilling tea reduce the
antioxidants. Iced tea drinks tend to have less actual tea and more other
ingredients, such as flavorings which have no nutritional value in them. Some hot teas actually reduce sugar and fat absorption while speeding up the digestive process.

Regular consumption of hot tea is associated with decreased weight whereas regular consumption of iced tea is not. Several cups of freshly brewed hot tea (minus the sugar) per day is the healthiest option.
After water, tea is the most commonly consumed beverage worldwide.

Useful information, thank you very much. I think I am going to start having more herbal teas myself.
ReplyDeleteOrange peko tea is my favorite. You can always add a little vanilla, mint or orange extract to the tea to give it a little personality. No calories added!
ReplyDeleteTea tastes terribkle without hiney. How can you drink it?
ReplyDeleteObviously a hot drink makes you hotter and a cold drink makes you colder. So why would you want to get hotter on a hot day?
ReplyDeleteInteresting. Never thought that drinking hot tea could help.
ReplyDeleteI like tea, but I didn't know that it was good for weight loss.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I like to drink a cup of tea after work. It's a nice thing we share... much more soothing than a coffee. Though I am a coffee person too. I feel healthier this way!
ReplyDeleteI have a question for you. Does coffee work the same way as tea or is it just tea and only certain kinds that help with weight loss?
ReplyDeleteCoffee does not offer significant weight related benefits as tea does. Drinking hot black tea directly contributes toward weight loss. I drink black hot tea with each meal. I add no sugar or milk to the tea. It is important to drink it freshly brewed. I read that green tea had more benefits than black tea but I did not have opportunity to experience it, because I don’t drink green tea.
DeleteI am unaware if coffee offers any weight loss related benefits. I drink coffee because I am addicted to it. I take coffee with little bit of milk and no sugar. Science is still divided on whether drinking coffee is healthy or not.
I'm not a fan of iced tea but am quite liking hot tea without anything in it. I also drink green tea which I find very helpful when I am trying to lose weight.
DeleteEnjoy the journey.

Are teasanes beneficial as well? I drink a lot of tea but much of it is herbal or blended. I wonder if it's good for me or if I should switch...
ReplyDeleteI work in a 9 to 5 job and tend to sip a lot of tea throughout the day. Thanks for telling me how helpful tea can be in reducing weight without sugar and milk. Keep up the good work and let’s all lose weight together.
ReplyDeleteI had replaced my sodas with iced tea thinking of it to be a healthier option. I read here it’s not the case. Thank you so much for this eye opener. You’re doing a great job. A great inspiration to all those trying to lose weight!!
ReplyDeleteVarious kind of teas have so many health benefits, green tea is my favourite as it has anti-inflammatory properties which as anti-aging. Milk and sugar will of course make the tea less healthful though!
ReplyDeleteHealthy teas are always a smarter choice than sodas. After water, they are already the most popular drink on earth.
ReplyDeleteRevived free tea bags at restaurant today. They told me today was International Tea Day. As to the weight loss, I think drinking tea helps, but it can't be the only thing you do to loose weight.
ReplyDeleteHi, I didn't know iced tea had less antioxidants. I will definitely start drinking it hot!
