Lost 91 pounds without feeling hungry

In May 2010 my weight was 261 pounds. Since then I learned a lot about physiology, nutrition, health and exercise science, and I believe I know more about losing weight than an average person. When it comes to shedding pounds, it is what and when we eat that counts most. If you change what you eat and how you eat, you will be able to lose weight. I did it and it worked very well for me. I lost 91 pounds without feeling hungry.

  1. I really want to lose weight and have tried various diets and programs in the past. I tried many, but have never been able to stay on them very long.

    1. I think the best advice that I could give you is to find a diet that meets your nutritional needs and is easy to do. The harder you have to work at making a diet work, the less likely you are to maintain it. Jumping from diet diet is not very healthy and I hope that you find a diet that suits you, very soon.

  2. I is really not into the pills or anything like that. There needs to be consistency in your diet and workout to make it work, but many people tend to forget that.

    1. Honestly, I don't really see why you would have to take a pill in the first place. It's all about the proper nutrition and choosing the right food portions for your weight goal. Just because it may seem hard at times, doesn't mean that it has to be extraordinarily difficult or hard to do.

Plus the only pill, I would recommend you taking is a daily vitamin.

  4. I have found that I can lose weight if I keep track of what I eat and how much I exercise. That simple act has helped me lose 20 pounds over the last three years and I've kept it off. I have a mentor (www.thedietmentor.wordpress.com)who keeps me accountable.

  5. I have to say, you had a pretty cool insight there. The quality and quantity of what you eat is one of the most important things to take into consideration. It is exceptionally cool, that just by altering what you ate and how much of it you consumed, you have been are able to shed over 91 pounds. All of us here are proud of you. So keep up the great work and the even greater advice.

  6. I think these are all great points, and not just for weight loss, but for how to eat and live in general. As Americans, we're taught to eat until we're stuffed, when in other cultures, you eat until you're not hungry anymore, or until your plate is empty. I'd never really thought of "fullness" as a cultural thing, but it's funny how it can be more nurture than nature!
